Profile
Nicole Honstetter began her professional career in the field of tax consultancy and auditing after studying economics and law at university and working for the German-American Chamber of Commerce in Houston, Texas. As head of auditing at large auditing firms in Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Konstanz, she dealt with complex tax matters for national and international clients. Over the years she focused increasingly on the examination of corporations’ and limited companies’ accounts.
Her know-how and her experience, especially in these areas, as well as her passion for embezzlement investigations prompted her to ‘switch sides’ to the Stuttgart public prosecutor’s office in the field of white-collar crime. In addition, she lectured in economics, accounting and accounting policy. Her husband’s professional move to Switzerland finally led her to Basel, where she took over the family’s property, asset and estate management. Here, she continued working in an advisory role for the courts in the field of commercial criminal law.
